For this month's program we have been
exploring our families. This came about
from discussions with children as many
of our families have welcomed new babies
recently or are due to have babies any
day. Experiences developed from this
discussion have included the creation of
the Butler 2 family photo album and a
collection of laminated photos from home
for the children to explore. Both
resources have promoted positive group
interactions.
Cut out people were used in a collage
and drawing experience as we selected
and named each family member before
decorating and placing them onto the
page. This experience was extended to
recognising facial features as we placed
eyes, nose, mouth and eyebrows onto our
faces. These well thought out creations
are currently on display in our room
along with a range of visual art
experiences that have been worked on
throughout the month.
Bec will be replacing Barb while she is
on holidays for 3 weeks during
November. Louise will be replacing her
during this time. Friday families will
recognise her face.
